They just don't get it, do they! By Charlie Baggesen Every day, I am more and more surprised at how much our elected officials expect us to swallow. We are plunging into the largest deficit we as a country or any country for that matter has ever experienced. Why?, to erase our current deficit! Therefore, if we are broke, we'll spend more money to remedy the problem. We are committed to the "redistribution of wealth" in this country. In the past, we had another phrase for that and I think I was drafted in the late sixties to stop the spread of it. I am well aware of the fact that we have a very popular president,but are we really blind to where this is going? The problem is that the rule of thumb is that we always make things better for our kids and they are going to get stuck with the bill for this. I wish I could get behing this but my common sense tells me that we are not. Only time will bear this out, and I hope I'm wrong.
